Crystle was born in Red Deer, AB and grew up on acreages in Alberta and British Columbia. In 2007, she moved to Halifax in order to finish her degree at Dalhousie University. She graduated with first class honours in History from that institution in 2009. Crystle remained in Halifax, and, in 2010, began her attendance at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. During her time at law school, Crystle participated in the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, supporting clients with family law, child protection and criminal law issues, as well as taking part in a family law placement with the Supreme Court Family Division in Halifax.
After graduating from Law School in 2013, Crystle accepted an articling position in The Pas, Manitoba, with the Legal Aid office there. During this time she practiced in family law, child protection and criminal law defense work, which included working in remote, fly-in communities. She appeared before both Provincial and the Court of Queen’s Bench and was called to the bar of Manitoba in June 2014.
In November, 2014 Crystle came to Calgary and happily joined Soby Boyden Lenz LLP. She was called to the Alberta bar in January, 2015. She understands and empathizes with the real life challenges her clients are facing and is willing to use negotiation, mediation and Court processes to obtain results.
In her spare time Crystle enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
