Elizabeth L. Stewart
Elizabeth L. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan where she spent a number of years working in genetics and agricultural bio-technology research before pursuing her passion for the law. Elizabeth holds a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Elizabeth returned to her hometown to complete her articles at a leading litigation firm. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2011. Before moving to Alberta, Elizabeth practiced in Victoria gaining extensive courtroom experience in family law and civil litigation. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2012.
Elizabeth focuses her practice on helping clients through the often difficult and emotional challenges of family law—divorce, common-law separation, custody, access, spousal and child support, property division and pre-nuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements. Elizabeth works closely with clients to facilitate cost-effective, efficient solutions that fit their specific circumstances. Where appropriate, Elizabeth connects clients with other helpful professionals—psychologists, counselors, communication specialists, financial and real estate advisors—to ensure her client’s interests and needs are met at every stage.
Elizabeth was drawn to the legal profession in order to advocate for people and solve their legal problems.
Elizabeth enjoys the adventure and diversity of travelling. She has studied law in the Czech Republic, lived in Southern France and explored many other areas of the globe. An outdoor sports enthusiast, Elizabeth enjoys golfing, running, skiing and tennis.
