[LAWYER NAME]

[LAWYER TITLE]

Elaine earned her law degree in 1975 from the University of Alberta. In 1986, together with John C. Soby, Q.C. and Robert V.T. Boyden, Q.C., she became one of the founding partners of Soby Boyden Lenz LLP, being the first law firm in Calgary established for the express purpose of providing legal services exclusively in the area of family law.

In 2000, Elaine was honoured with an appointment as Queen’s Counsel and was a member of the distinguished International Academy of Family Lawyers from 2006-2020. Over the past number of years, her peers have recognized her, in Martindale Hubbell, as being a distinguished family law lawyer, in both her legal abilities and general ethical standards. Elaine has more than 40 years of experience in family law.

Elaine has a firm commitment to honest, direct communications with her clients, while assisting them to identify their issues and achieve realistic goals, and in doing so in a compassionate and cost-effective manner. She understands the importance of clients working with legal counsel in whom they trust and have confidence. Over the years, Elaine has successfully assisted numerous clients with issues involving division of matrimonial property; child and spousal support; custody/access/parenting/mobility; cohabitation/prenuptial contracts and the enforceability of those contracts.

Our legal team at Soby Boyden Lenz LLP provides a wealth of diverse experience to help us assist with issues relating not only to separation/divorce but also with the protocols of The Hague Convention, adoption, and cohabitation/prenuptial contracts. We are knowledgeable as to which other professionals are the top in their field, should you require referrals to legal counsel or other professions with expertise in areas such as wills/estates, tax law, corporate/commercial law, real estate law, financial planning or for psychological counselling/assessment.
