DANUSIA BOURDON
Family Law Lawyer
Danusia graduated from University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2003, after graduating magna cum laude from McGill University in 1999. She practiced in family law for a couple of years before becoming a criminal defence lawyer. For 17 years Danusia honed her skills in the courtroom as a defence lawyer, passionately defending her clients at all levels of court: Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. Now, entering her twentieth year at the bar, Danusia is bringing her excellent litigation experience to Soby Boyden Lenz.
Danusia has a compassion for, and understanding of, her clients’ circumstances and brings the passion she had for criminal defence to the representation of her family law clients. Danusia connects with her clients and is results-oriented. She helps her clients strategize and achieve the best outcomes for their situations. Danusia stands by her clients, strongly supporting their goals and objectives.
Danusia has volunteered with many different organizations, including Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary Law School as a practice advisor, the Canadian Bar Association, the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, and the Rotary Club of Calgary.
When she is not working, Danusia enjoys spending time with her family, show jumping, and reading.
