JASNEET MALHI

Jasneet was called to the Alberta Bar in December 2022. Prior to joining Soby Boyden Lenz, she practiced in civil litigation, criminal, and family law. Jasneet graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Glasgow and holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Calgary.

Jasneet takes a client-focused approach, guiding clients through complex and stressful family law matters with empathy, compassion and professionalism. She is committed to finding practical, cost-effective solutions that minimize conflict while addressing each client’s unique needs.

She works closely with clients to help them understand every aspect of the family law process, including parenting, child support, spousal support, and division of property. Jasneet recognizes that every family is different and that each matter requires a tailored approach to achieve a lasting outcome.

While she believes mediation and settlement meetings are often the most effective ways to resolve disputes efficiently, Jasneet is a strong and prepared advocate in court when litigation becomes necessary. Having appeared before both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench, she combines her courtroom experience and advocacy skills to represent her clients effectively.

Outside of her legal practice, Jasneet is dedicated to giving back to her community through volunteering. She enjoys teaching yoga with ASSIST, playing and coaching soccer, and traveling.
