Saranjit was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2023 and the Alberta Bar in October 2023. Prior to joining Soby Boyden Lenz, she practiced in family law and civil litigation, operating her own family law firm for a period of time. Saranjit graduated from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2022.
Saranjit has represented clients in a wide range of matters from uncontested divorces to high conflict parenting litigation, including urgent parenting disputes, property division and domestic violence cases. She takes a client-focused approach, aimed at ensuring clients are fully apprised of their matters and potential solutions. With a focus on collaboration and practical problem-solving, Saranjit helps guide clients though complex and stressful matters with clarity and compassion. She recognizes that all matters are different, and each client requires a tailored approach to help achieve a lasting solution.
While she agrees that alternative dispute resolution is often the most effective ways to resolve disputes efficiently, Saranjit is a strong advocate in court when litigation becomes necessary. Having appeared before both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench, she combines her courtroom experience and advocacy skills to represent her clients effectively.
Outside the courtroom, Saranjit volunteers with the Women’s Centre of Calgary and FearIsNotLove, where she supports individuals navigating legal challenges with limited access to resources. This work reinforces her belief that legal representation should be not only effective but empathetic and accessible.
Saranjit also provides services in Punjabi.
